Community Spirit
The Fraser Coast Cultural Festival will be held on the Fraser Coast and will include the following:
Saturday 24 March 2012- Brolga Theatre Maryborough – Gala Event.
Sunday 25 March 2012 – Scarness Foreshore, Charlton Esplanade Scarness, Hervey Bay – Street Parade and Festival.

In 2011 the international community was brought to its knees with natural disasters, which had a devastating impact on a number of communities throughout the world. In their 2012 celebrations, the Fraser Coast Cultural Festival will celebrate the unity demonstrated by the international community in coming together to help those in need.
While the impact of those natural disasters is still being felt today, it is the human spirit and sense of community that shone through as the common thread. Every country wanted to help; even if they were also recovering from the impact of disasters themselves. It was one of the greatest demonstrations of humanity of this generation.
The Fraser Coast Cultural Festival will be held on the Fraser Coast on 24 and 25 March 2012. As an international festival in the heart of regional Queensland, we want to pay tribute to the communities that have worked together to overcome incredible obstacles and recognise the demonstration of community spirit internationally. This festival will be:
Celebrating the unity demonstrated by the international community in coming together to help those in need.
