The Fraser Coast Cultural Festival is a community event that celebrates the many cultures that make up our region. It is owned by the community and is run totally by volunteers. The festival is launched with the Gala Event at the Brolga Theatre and boasts a talented range of local, national and international performers. It culminates with a free festival in Scarness Park Hervey Bay that offers continuous entertainment on a number of stages and an enormous array of sumptuous cultural foods and refreshments for patrons to sample. It is this combination that makes the Fraser Coast Cultural Festival so successful.
The theme for the 2012 Festival will be a celebration of the human spirit and will pay tribute to the incredible efforts of the international community as they came together to support each other during the natural disasters that occurred in 2010 and 2011.
A Festival of this calibre cannot exist without financial support. As such, we are asking for community and corporate support for the 2012 Festival. We are eager to ensure organisations who support the festival are recognised for their contribution and have structured the packages to do that.
